Yes, all of our sheds can be customised to your specific requirements. 

Do you have a standard range of shed designs?

We have a range of designs available but all sheds can be easily customised to your requirements. Please refer to our website to view plans or contact us for a quote based on your own design. 

What roofing and cladding options are available?

Most sheds use coloured profiled steel roofing and cladding as it is economical, fast to install and durable. However, please contact us if you would like another option to be specified on the plans.

How long will it take to receive my quote?

What is included in the drawings?

The drawings include elevations, floorplan, sections, fixing details, material takeoff and engineers certificate.

Can I have an earth or concrete floor?

Yes, we can provide drawings with an earth or concrete floor, to the whole floor or selected bays only if required.

Do I need a building consent?

Pole shed buildings will usually require a building consent. In some cases, non-habitable, farm sheds in rural locations maybe exempt from needing a building consent. Contact your local council for confirmation.

How do I lodge a building consent for my shed?

We highly recommend you contact your local council to discuss your building project. Firstly, confirm with your local council planner whether the building project is permissible based on your property zone and obtain the relevant application forms and checklist.

To lodge a building consent you will need the following:

• A completed consent application form with checklist completed.

• Engineered drawings for the shed (Polesheds.au provide this);

• A site map indicating the location of the shed on the property. Clearly indicate distances from the front and side boundaries and other structures.

How long will my building consent take for council approval?

Councils aim to process a building consent in 20 working days or less depending on how busy they are or the complexity of the project. Sometimes they will request further information (RFI) to process the consent. If so, the clock is stopped until the information is received. 

How long will it take for my drawings to be completed?

Typically within 10-15 days.

Can you design a habitable pole shed building?

YES, Polesheds.au can design habitable pole buildings based on the shell only i.e. poles, framing, cladding (Structure only). You will be required to work with your own designer and/or contractors to handle the interior fit out details i.e. Insulation, plumbing, electrical etc.
